Dr. Németh Gábor

Dr. Németh Gábor graduated from the University of Debrecen in 1999 and spent 16 years at the Department of Ophthalmology in Debrecen, where he gained extensive professional and scientific experience. From 2015, he served for seven years as the Head of the Ophthalmology Department at Miskolc Hospital.

In addition to his ophthalmology specialization, he earned a PhD, completed habilitation, and in 2020 – five years ago – was awarded the Doctor of Science title by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in recognition of his international scientific achievements. He currently teaches ophthalmology as an associate professor at the University of Miskolc.

He is the President of the Hungarian Society of Intraocular Lens Implantation and Refractive Surgery (SHIOL), and previously served as Secretary of the Hungarian Ophthalmological Society (MSZT) for six years.

Dr. Németh has broad experience in adult outpatient ophthalmic care and has been performing cataract surgeries for over 20 years. He has gained outstanding expertise in the use of various types of advanced intraocular lenses (multifocal, trifocal, extended depth of focus), which provide correction for distance, near, and intermediate vision. Over the past 14 years, he has also gained surgical experience in the treatment of vitreoretinal diseases and has been involved in both laser and surgical therapies for glaucoma. He has been invited several times as a guest surgeon for live surgical demonstrations at international congresses.

Now bringing his professional and scientific background to private care, he has joined the MC60 team!
