Dr. Ignácz Ferenc

Dr. Ignácz Ferenc is an anaesthesiologist and intensive care specialist, earned his medical degree in 2010 at the University of Pécs, Faculty of General Medicine, and completed his board certification in anaesthesiology and intensive therapy in 2016. In 2022, he was awarded the title of Clinical Chief Physician at Semmelweis University. He began his career at clinics in Germany, gaining extensive experience in anaesthesiology and intensive care, then worked at the University of Pécs between 2014 and 2016, and from 2017 to October 2023 at the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy of Semmelweis University, where he also served as Clinical Chief Physician and Deputy Director of Operations. Among his scientific contributions, his publication “Sevoflurane anaesthesia in severe sepsis in the intensive care unit” is particularly noteworthy, and his earlier research focused on the effects of L-carnitine supplementation in dialysis patients. He is a member of the Hungarian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Therapy and the Hungarian Hypertension Society, and he speaks both English and German. His professional goal is to provide high-quality, empathetic, and personalized anaesthesiology and intensive care.
