Back to kindergarten and school – start september with health in mind!

Dear Patients!
The school bell is ringing again, and kindergarten classrooms are filling up too. September is not only about new notebooks, kindergarten symbols and getting ready in the morning. With new communities, changing routines and busy weekdays ahead, this time of year is also a great opportunity to pay closer attention to our children’s health.
Laboratory tests can provide useful information about your child’s current health status and, as part of a medical evaluation, may help identify certain abnormalities. It is particularly worth consulting your child’s doctor about whether laboratory testing may be appropriate if your child seems more tired or pale than usual, has a reduced appetite, finds it harder to concentrate, or experiences other persistent symptoms.
We understand that the thought of having blood drawn can make many children feel uncertain or anxious. That is why we pay special attention to helping our youngest patients feel as safe and comfortable as possible. Our kind and patient professionals perform blood draws in a friendly, child-centred environment and do their utmost to make the experience as calm and positive as possible for both children and their parents.
An important part of starting the new school year with health in mind is paying attention to the signals our children’s bodies may be giving us. Start September prepared – so that play, learning and new experiences can truly take centre stage!
